I have started my position as the CTO of Terranet Tech AB (Lund, Sweden) in September 2021. Until November 2023 I was also the Managing Director of Terranet’s legal entity Terranet Tech GmbH (Stuttgart, Germany)
As head of technology, engineering and product development I’ve been developing the company’s assets into products. Under the new brand BlincVision my primary mission was to strengthen the software and hardware development of VoxelFlow to power Terranet’s automotive road safety product BlincVision.
Mission
Around 20 people per 1 million inhabitants die on urban roads. Almost 40% of all road fatalities happen in urban areas. Vulnerable road-users account for 70% of all road deaths in urban areas. Inside urban areas, almost 40% of the fatalities are pedestrians, 12% are cyclists and 18% are users of powered two-wheelers.
Terranet’s mission is to design and develop lifesaving products based on ultrafast super-human vision technologies. Our products contributes to safer roads, less accidents and fatalities, safer micro mobility in cities.
BlincVision
BlincVision is a super-human vision system designed to make our roads safer and save the lives of vulnerable road users. Next to LiDAR, radar and camera-based advanced driver assistance systems.BlincVision complements currently available sensor technologies by its ultra-fast, bio-inspired computer vision technology. With BlincVision we see the shape and precise motion of objects, faster than any other system, even in darkness. BlincVision child-proofs every driver by ensuring that their vehicle won’t kill pedestrians.
BlincVision continuously scans the field in front of a vehicle using two or more VISION modules. The modules emit multiple laser beams mounted in either in the headlights, side rear mirrors, rooftop console, or other locations allowing a wide baseline for stereo vision. The event sensor inside each VISION modules captures the reflected laser beam trajectories and preprocesses input into a temporal 2D event stream. The VISION modules are connected to an embedded COMPUTE module which computes shape and motion of objects in 4D, a temporal voxel flow.
