In December 2010, the intellectual property (IP) of my startup company OneStepAhead Aktiengesellschaft (www.onestepahead.de) was sold to CloudMade (www.cloudmade.com) – in return, I and my shareholders received minority shares in CloudMade (equity swap).

From December 2010 to April 2013 I ran the German CloudMade office where we designed and developed core technologies for location based services. In April the whole (ex-OneStepAhead) core team resigned to look for the next challenge.

Takwak Group Navigation

Summary

The TW700 device is a navigation device, smart phone, walky talky and group navigation device.

OneStepAhead and CloudMade developed an outdoor navigation Android C++ SDK used by their partner MagicMaps to develop the navigation part of the TW 700 software.

Takwak*s device named “tw700” was released in March 2012.

TwoGo Ridesharing

Summary
  • SAP piloted a mobile application for ride sharing/carpooling called “TwoGo”. More than 10,000 employees live in the larger area of the company’s headquarter Employees and commute on a daily basis.
  • Once an employee registers with TwoGo and enters home address and building number of their office location, and whenever they want to share a ride, they indicate the time and location, if they want to ride as passenger or offer a ride as driver.
  • The SAP TwoGo service was launched in August 2011
